About Strong Fortress Christian Church
Strong Fortress Christian Church is an evangelical ministry with the headquarters in Lagos and branches across the various states in Nigeria.
The ministry is founded by Pastor Jonto, Aondo Terhemen who heard the call to ministry at a tender age. This was evident in his early condemnation of evil acts both in his community and the church and also the laying of hands. This exemplary life accorded him so much respect that earned him a title of chief at that tender age. One of his uncles Nyam Yav who acknowledged this call was heard saying he will wait to be part of the ministry that will be established by him not minding how long it will take. This call was made very clear in 2006 to begin to gather people during his study of scripture in Isaiah 45:13 “I have raised him(Terhemen) up in righteousness, and I will direct all his ways: he shall build his city(church), and he shall let go his captives, NOT FOR PRICE NOR REWARD, saith the LORD of hosts.
He answered immediately and started gathering people for fellowship. After this call, the name of the ministry was given as STRONG TOWER as written in Proverb 18:10 “The name of the LORD is a strong tower: the righteous runneth into it, and is safe.”For the sake of registration convenience, the New Living Translation of the Bible was used which changed the name of the ministry to STRONG FORTRESS as it is translated as “The name of the LORD is a strong fortress; the godly run to him and are safe”. This ministry started in 2006 but with overwhelming distractions. This dream finally became a reality on the 4th March,2018 when STRONG FORTRESS CHRISTIAN CHURCH had the first service with JONTO, AONDO TERHEHIMN, WISE BRISBORN, TEGA AND MNGUVAN TYOKAA in attendance at Villa Savoye Hotel and Resort, Abijo.

Aondo Terhemen Jonto (born January 15, 1977)popularly known as Jonto is a Nigerian Pastor. He is the founder and senior pastor of Strong Fortress Christian Church, an impactful evangelical church in Lagos, Nigeria. He is known for his simplicity and deeds of love. Jonto holds conservative theological views and traditional evangelical views on social issues such as abortion, same-sex marriage, abstinence-only education over the use of condoms to prevent HIV/AIDS. Jonto believes in the liberation of Christians from every bondage of the law including giving to God. He does not share in the belief that Christians are under any law to serve or give else be punished. His believe is in accordance with the word of God as written in Romans 3:20 that “Therefore by the deeds of the law there shall no flesh be justified in his sight: for by the law is the knowledge of sin”.
